NFL mock draft 5.1: How Rams-Titans trade shakes up first round

Earlier this week, we threw some proposed trades into our latest mock draft to give it a different look. Thursday, the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams shook things up for real, with the No. 1 pick leaving Nashville for Hollywood in a blockbuster deal. So here's an updated version of our "trade edition" mock to reflect the real news – while adding some new trades – two weeks ahead of the NFL draft.

1. Los Angeles Rams – Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State: Four years after making a monster move down the board, allowing Washington to take Robert Griffin III, coach Jeff Fisher and GM Les Snead have made a major splash in the opposite direction. You don't jump from the 15th pick into the pole position to take a tackle or safety, so it's apparent the Rams have decided to anoint their next franchise quarterback despite all the nice things they've been saying about Case Keenum. Given his enviable skill set, we're guessing Wentz will be the new leading man in Hollywood, theoretically addressing the major area that has prevented the team from contending in recent seasons. And if Fisher decides Wentz needs some time to adjust to the big stage, Keenum can hand off to RB Todd Gurley until he is ready for prime time.
